About
I am an academic, practitioner and researcher. I am Course Leader & Senior Lecturer to the BA(Hons) Photography course at the University of Portsmouth, UK. I obtained a Master in Photography at Sint Lukas (Luca School of Arts), Brussels, Belgium and a Master in Fine Art (Photography ) at the Royal College of Art, London.
My broader research interest within photography explores the structures and boundaries of narrative, considering photography both as a scientific and an abstract medium in relationship to concepts such as ecology, sustainability and the representation of non-visual experiences.
My current research interests include the representation of idealized memories and experiences of the Belgian coast through the use of the land and object.
My works has been exhibited and published internationally, with selected highlights being Daegu Photo Biennale, South Korea, Photomonth, Krakow, Poland and Screenworlds’ Contemporary Photography from Flanders, Brussels.
